So much to jot down.
Spent Friday night researching houses, mortgages, and other relevant topics. It gets hard to sleep when you have so much to think about. However, on Friday I actually went to bed just after 9. That's odd for me. I woke up early in the morning and did a little more research on houses. At one we were picked up by our realtor and when on a whirlwind tour of ten, almost eleven, houses. After a while they all start to blur together.
Some of the houses were interesting, some were in need of drastic repairs, and a few seemed to have most of the things we were looking for.
Some of the bad houses were exceptionally bad. One had neon colored graffiti in the basement. It was a neon spray paint mural of an alien and a dragon. That would be fun to paint over. Plus the layout of the home was very odd. The whole building was set up in the shape of a spiral. It was a multiple split-level where you had to run around the outer edge of the house to make it from top to bottom. Another one of the bad houses had train tracks that ran straight through the backyard. Well, actually just past the fence. Supposedly trains only pass twice a day, they didn't mention when.
Probably the worst house was the one where all of the carpets needed to be replaced. But the most surprising part was the new extension to the house that was added last year still did not have siding. It appeared that they put it up and then couldn't afford to finish the bottom half or the outside. Plus the backyard still looked like a construction site, no grass and construction debris everywhere.
